Mr. Andrew Aguilar has accepted the call to be the Superintendent of California Lutheran High School. Please keep our new superintendent position in your prayers that the Lord would guide Andrew in all his new areas of responsibility and decision making.

“C-Hawk for a …”

April 3, 2008 we will host our grade school students in 5th - 8th grades for “C-Hawk for a Day”. Activities will include a tour of the high school, an opportunity to attend 12 minute classes, Chapel, and lunch, to name just a few. “C-Hawk for a Night” is scheduled for May 16, 2008 starting at 7:30 p.m. until May 17, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. This is for students in 6th – 8th grades. Call the high school office at (951)-678-7000 before April 30th to sign up!

Exaltation and Laudation Trip

Green Valley and Mt. Olive on Sunday.

Fine Arts Festival

Association Meeting
The May CLHS Association meeting is set for May 17, 2008, beginning at 10:00 a.m. At this meeting the budget is adopted for the 2008-2009 school year. Your participation is vital. Please plan to attend.

“C-Hawk Cyber Café” Auction
Tickets for the “C-Hawk Cyber Café”, a C-Hawk Spectacular Dinner and Auction, are still available for a short time. The date of the event is April 26, 2008. Call now for your tickets! Call the CLHS office directly to place your order (951-678-7000). The cost per ticket is $25.00. This year’s auction proceeds will go toward technology improvements and the tuition assistance fund.

It is still not too late to donate items for this event! Do you have a favorite restaurant or business that you use regularly? Might they be interested in donating a gift certificate? Tax letters are available to give to businesses for proof of the event. You don’t have to tackle a whole basket alone. Get a couple of people together to contribute items for a basket. Simply donate a favorite CD, game, kitchen gadget, or you name it. They can be combined with other items already donated. Cash donations are also welcome.

It promises to be a fun event! Come and be a part of it!

Check out www.clhs-chawks.org/pennies4pixels for information about “Pennies 4 Pixels”. It is an additional way to help support technology at CLHS. With great participation, this website can become an interesting collection of links from CLHS supporters. Check it out! It’s awesome!
Blood Drive
The Student Council is planning their second blood drive for this year. The date is May 30th. Please plan to participate! Give the gift of life – Give blood!! Call the high school office to select a time that is good for you, or simply stop by. We will have the bloodmobile hours in the next update.

CLIP – California Lutheran International Program

We have an opportunity for you to interact with our international students. We are looking for families to host students during times when our dorms are closed. This would be 4-day weekends and holiday breaks. Compensation will be paid. This is a great way to keep them surrounded by Christianity. Please contact the school office.
