Natural Range
Darkling beetles have been introduced around the world by human activity. They live in areas surrounded by what they eat. They clean up after plants and animals, so they can be found anywhere where leftovers occur.

Interesting Facts
The meal worm larva is used as food for other species. They clean up materials not used by others. They are a pest to stored grain.
