in most nooks and crannies. They are here year round, but when it is colder
out we don't see many because they try to find warm places.

Harvestmen are found all over the world. There is only one state
in the whole U.S. where it is endangered. That state is Texas.
Interesting Facts
The harvestman
catches its insect prey by using
hooks on the ends of its legs. It protects itself by giving off
a
foul-smelling fluid. If it is caught, they shed a leg to escape. A harvestman is really not a spider it is an Opilone. It can also not make its own
web and it has no venom.
