Natural Range
The South Eastern Stone Centipede is actually found all across the southern United States. Although not common in California, it does live there. They are typically found in damp or moist dark areas.

Interesting Facts
This smaller centipede reaches around 1.7" maximum consisting of only 18 body segments. It packs a potent venom however, allowing it to catch smaller prey such as crickets and other insects.

The Stone Centipede and CLHS

The Stone Centipede can be found in the more uninhabited areas of the CLHS campus such as under rocks or dead tree branches in ditches or small holes.
