Natural Range
Western North America from British Columbia south to southern New Mexico and Baja California: east to western South Dakota and Southeast Colorado. They rarely stray to central Nebraska. Check the range map here.

Interesting Facts
The male swallowtail has yellowish wings. The largest swallowtail is the Japanese giant. Larva of the swallowtail eats wild cherry leaves. Swallowtail life cycle includes: egg, larval instars, pupa, and adult.
