Natural Range
This species of dragonfly can be found over various areas of the world. It can be found in New England, the Pacific Northwest, Southeast, and our very own state of California. It likes to live around the calm waters of streams, ponds, or nearby canal water.

Interesting Facts
The female bounces gently on the top of calm water to wash its eggs off and the eggs will hatch in around five days. The females are narrower and browner then the males. They are about the same size, having 1.5-2 in. wingspan and are about 5 cm. long.
