Natural Range
Golden Eagles have a wider range than other eagles. Golden eagles can also be found in Europe, North Africa, and Asia. Click here for a map of their range in North America.

Interesting Facts
A pair of Golden Eagles stay together for life. When the babies are born they are entirely white. Length: 32 inches, Wingspan: 7 feet. Golden Eagles have a lifespan of about 15 years. Their hunting territory extends up to 162 square miles.

The Golden Eagle and CLHS

The Golden Eagle is native to California. They are seen in the area around our campus. Loss of habitat to development has made seeing a Golden Eagle a rare occurence in our area.
