The
berber skink can grown up to 16.5" and can change its appearance pending
on the temperature. It sometimes becomes white when temperatures get to about

Natural Range
The Berber skink is native to the northwestern part
of Africa. It is also common east to west Asia. They are found in environments
such as dry, brushy areas and rocky steppes.Check out the area here!
Interesting Facts
This creature adapts to hot, dry areas which
is why they live where they live. They burrow underground when they want
to escape the heat. Their ear openings are covered with three comb-like scales,
which prevents sand from getting into the ear while burrowing. Click here to

The Berber Skink and CLHS.
The berber skink was a temporary visitor to our school.
It was brought to us by Matthew H.
Though it is not found in the United States, the berber skink is the top import
of
all
the
other
skinks.
Though
it eats
such
things
as crickets and dog and cat food, its life span goes to roughly 20 years.
