Natural Range
Coyotes are found from Central America through central Canada and into Alaska mainly but they are seen through out the United States and Mexico.

Interesting Facts
Coyotes usually don't hunt in packs like wolves. They are sometimes seen in daylight, though they are mostly nocturnal. They can to run up to 65 km/hr. They will make dens out of old beaver and badger nests. There are many entrances to a den. The coyotes leave when they need to eat, urinate and defecate. They are poor climbers and great swimmers.

The Coyote and CLHS

Coyotes are very common in our area.  Even though our campus is fenced, coyotes have been seen on our campus at night. The football field is a great place to hunt rabbits at night!.
