Natural Range
The raccoon is native to North America and is found almost everywhere. If you watch outside at night, you will probably see one or two in the bushes. Click here to see a distribution map.

Interesting Facts
The raccoon weighs around 8 kg and has a life span of around 15 years. Its gestation period is about 63 days and it usually produces about 3 offspring. It eats frogs, earthworms, fruit, and eggs out of bird nests.
