Natural Range
White sage is found in the southwestern United States
and northwestern Mexico. It is mainly seen on the western edges of both
the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts. Click here to

Interesting Facts
This highly aromatic plant was used by Native
Americans to cure numerous ailments. Today, some still use it to make incense
for purification rituals, to rid themselves of evil spirits. White sage grows
to be 1 to 3 feet tall and blooms during the summer.

White sage is found in our native plant garden, near
the picnic tables and basketball courts. Stop by to see–and smell–this
beautiful specimen. It is a very common plant in hills and open spaces in
the Wildomar area.
