Natural Range
White sage is found in the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. It is mainly seen on the western edges of both the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts. Click here to see a distribution map.

Interesting Facts
This highly aromatic plant was used by Native Americans to cure numerous ailments. Today, some still use it to make incense for purification rituals, to rid themselves of evil spirits. White sage grows to be 1 to 3 feet tall and blooms during the summer.
